A geocell is a product that effectively solves the problem of poor bearing capacity of native soil. It also ensures soil stability on slopes and embankments. In cases of poor bearing capacity, the system works by reducing vertical stresses, creating a substructure that behaves like a semi-rigid slab.
In the case of slopes and embankments, the geocell encloses the material inside the cells, creating a three-dimensional honeycomb that effectively minimises erosion.
The GLOB-KRATA geocell is made of high-density polyethylene tapes, formed on both sides, connected by a series of deep ultrasonic welds, arranged in strips, perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the tapes.
At the customer’s request, we supply anchors and self-locking bands for connecting individual geocell sections on the construction site.
